I have not been blogging because so little progress has been made.  First, I have been out of town.  Second, because events have conspired, and schedules have proven problematic.

But there has been some progress. We closed on the adjacent 10 acres and now have 30 to play with.  I’ve installed a gate so that we can access the property.  And the missus and I also picked a building site closer to the road, providing for a shorter driveway.  That’s all to the good.

Now I have to move forward on actually putting the drive in, figuring out how I want to handle water (for immediate use I will get a tank), and moving forward on remodeling tasks for the shop.   I will have to build a workshop and am divided on how I want to proceed.  Part of me wants to just throw a shed up and call it good, another wants to go ahead and build a small straw bale building so that I can practice technique and so it will be a more permanent and attractive structure, usable for whatever purpose we decide.

All for now.

John and Janet! So glad you are reading the blog! Please do come out and see what's going on. Certainly by Spring we'll have made major strides... But we might get lucky and have something to show in the Fall.

      Cheers

      Paul
