Went to Madrid on Sunday to check out the status of the eventual store and to roam the house site.  Susan had not been in a couple of weeks and wanted to see what was going on.  Not too much I am afraid, but here are some photos of progress to date:

The water tank is in.  It is large and black and needs a couple of teaspoons of Clorox every couple of weeks to make sure we don’t grow anything nasty.   Not that that really matters, this water is going to be used primarily for construction purposes.

And here’s the first pile of rocks to be used in the various gabion walls that we will put up inside the house, as well as in the courtyard walls.  They come in a tremendous variety of colors and once washed off a bit will look great.

Dog Bobby decided he didn’t want anything to do with this portion of our adventure and while the other dog, Clint, ran about, he watched safely from  the car.

We also visited the galley and looked at the mess I have been making over there.  Here’s the carpet in the midst of being torn up.

And here is a before shot of the bathroom.  It is to be gutted and redone.

That there is your quick update.  I will have more soon.
